G7 countries will draw up to 100 million barrels from their stocks in an effort to lower prices, according to Le Monde’s report on an announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Le Monde reported that Macron also said G7 members had agreed there would be no export restrictions or bans between them.
Macron referred to Donald Trump, who, according to the report, had threatened to reduce American gas exports. Macron said Trump had made his position clear on the agreement against export restrictions.
